Eric Scott Turner is an American politician and former professional football player who is serving as the 19th United States secretary of housing and urban development since February 2025. Prior to his political career, he played cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons, mostly for the Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers.
